Bb Bass - John Hamilton
Personal Info

John Hamilton, one of the band's Bb Bass players, lives in the village of Kinnesswood in Perthshire and is married with 2 children. John works for BT as Head of Public Sector Accounts in London. In his spare time John enjoys practising, practising, practising, fishing, golf and playing guitar.

John started playing Baritone with Cumbernauld Silver Band in 1976, moving to Alva band in 1979. He spent 5 years as Solo Baritone with the NYBBS. John then played latterly with Clackmannan. He then took a break of many years from banding only returning to playing in January of 2005, when he bought a euphonium and started playing at home. John joined Dunfermline Town Band in July of 2005 and then made the step up to Kingdom 5 months later.

Other Musical Interests

Classical music, opera and ballet, folk (Scottish & Irish) and rock, particularly Queen.
