Helen Webster, Kingdom's first horn player, lives in Kinghorn with her husband Bill, who also plays in the band. She works for AEGON Asset Management in Edinburgh.

Helen began her playing career with Tayport in both the junior and senior bands, and also played with Lochgelly and Kelty before joining Kingdom Brass in 1999.

Other Musical Interests

As well as brass bands, Helen has played in a number of orchestras and also enjoys traditional jazz as well as anything by Abba.

Easily Extreme Makeover, but also enjoys Benvenuto Cellini, Essay, Variations on a Ninth and Jazz.

The Gael, Organ Symphony, Finale to Act 1 of Lohengrin, Grease Medley.

Favourite Performance

The 10th Anniversary Concert, "Kingdom Brass at the Movies" in 2009. The music choice was excellent, and the addition of film clips, lighting effects etc. transformed the performance in to something really special. The skill required by Craig Andersen to keep everything together was extraordinary.
