In 2007 Kingdom Brass proposed and launched the Kingdom Brass Youth Initiative, the band's much needed youth policy.

As part of the creation of that policy, a blueprint was put in place covering 5 years of development for the organisation as a whole, from early 2008 to late 2012.

The main objectives were the continued high standard of the senior band - maintaining the Championship Section status the band has held since 2000, and the formation of a full youth band. Both those objectives have, so far, been met.

Secondary objectives included the formation of dedicated percussion tuition, which was launched at the end of 2009, and the formation of a 'B' Band by 2012.

Eary in 2011 work started on the new 'B' band, and in October 2011 the new band had it's first rehearsal.

The band rehearses once a week, on a Wednesday evening from 7.30 - 9.30pm in the Co-op Hall.
