Alan Koczubik, one of Kingdom's 3rd cornet players, works as a Clerical Assistant for Fife Council. He's married to Lynsey, the Principal Percussionist in the band.

Alan began playing with Buckhaven Junior Band in 1979, moving to the senior band in 1980. He initially played horn, and only moved onto cornet as the band had too many horn players! He stayed with Buckhaven right up to 2004, with spells at Tullis Russell in 1988 and Cowdenbeath from 1992 to 1995.

Alan's currently doing a bit of piano playing, and is working through his piano grades.

As a listener, Grimethorpe playing in the Rothes Halls conducted by Gary Cutt. As a player, either guesting for Kingdom at Troon with Alan Fernie conducting, or splitting the top three at the Scottish in the Rothes Halls in 2008.
